Using the rhetorical concepts of logos ethos and pathos discuss how designs or images can be persuasive in nonverbal ways

For this assignment, you have two options:

o Using the rhetorical concepts of logos, ethos, and pathos, discuss how designs or images can be persuasive in nonverbal ways. Explain the ways in which reason, credibility, and emotion can be conveyed without using words. You could use a photograph, album cover, political cartoon, or other piece of art.

o Pick a PSA (public service announcement) or political advertising commercial. Then, write a critique in which you explain why it was or why it was not effective using logos, pathos, and ethos.

*For either option, make sure you provide me with a copy of the image or the link to the public service announcement.
As you’ve learned, essays should be developed, organized, and coherent, written with proper
sentence skills and conforming to the standards of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Remember that all good essays have a clear introduction (with thesis statement), body
paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Your essay should be at least 3 pages long, written in Times New Roman 12-pt font, and double-
spaced with a proper heading (see heading above) and a title that focuses on your topic (not the assignment name).
Remember to save your paper in .doc or .docx format and attach it to the submission page. Do
not type or copy/paste your paper into the submission page text box. Papers submitted
incorrectly will not be graded.
