How does your selected preventative strategy or intervention address/combat firearm injuries or fatalities (what does the research say)?
In what ways does the intended prevention or strategy appear effective in protecting youth and adolescents who are most affected by gun violence?
In what ways do you recommend improving the selected prevention or intervention through a public health approach/model?
Because this is opinion, there is no “right or wrong” answer.  But like other pieces of writing you’ve done this semester,  we need to you to tie your policy position statement back to risk and protective factors in a person in network framework that includes discussion of oppressive societal forces.  Lecture 1 should help you identify those the risk and protective factors and the current political landscape.  Lecture 2 should help you understand additional intervention and prevention strategies that are being used in a local context.
