Selfies and their Social Perception on the Public

Title for my paper is Selfies and Their Social Perception on the Public: Innocent or premature Narcissism?? Running head: SELFIES AND THEIR PERCEPTION Abstract – Don’t need now 1. Main body/paragraphs – first paragraph has to be vague and then more focused with the hypothesis at the end. The research topic is about priming and how people’s judgement of someone is affected by what they see. Hypothesis for the class study is: That people’s opinions are affected by others and Emma will choose the profile picture that her followers like the most to have more positive feedback on that particular photo. The hypothesis that should be included in the first paragraph can be more general instead of relating to Emma, along the lines of ?the main goal is to see if an outsider’s opinion is relative to research that people who posts a lot of selfies are perceived as more narcissist.? Research states this to be true in the following journals. the next paragraphs have to be about the included 5 references (studies relating to the research/hypothesis topic) with in-text citations. Has to be 2 1/2 to 3 pages. 2. Methods page – includes the methods that the research used to collect the data. All the questionnaires look like the selfie one I included just with different pictures included in the PowerPoint. There we ‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ re 3 in total (Selfies (S), Group (G), and Professional (P)). 3. Results page – The Independent variables (IV) are: the three groups S, G, and P and they each had 3 IVs of their own which were the photos. The Dependent variable (DV) we are searching for is: How the results from these IV questionnaires represented narcissism, more importantly did the S group rate higher than the other two in it. I will include a screen shot of the data collected in class through SPSS program and that will have to be included in the Appendix. I will ask my professor for the additional Appendix information. 4. Discussion page – How the research and prior research proved or disproved the hypothesis, any final thoughts and what could possibly be done differently when reattempting experiment. 5. Appendix
