Intervention Strategy

For this assignment, you will create a strategic plan for implementing the option you chose to address the policy gap you identified in the Unit 5 assignment. You will also advocate for a selected element of your plan in front of a group of your nursing peers. Your strategic plan should:

Advocate for nursing’s involvement.

Describe the political environment or climate that you believe will support the intervention.

Demonstrate your political activism.

Intervention Plan Paper

Submit an 8–10 page paper in which you present your strategic plan for your chosen intervention.

Describe the evidence-based intervention or solution you are advocating to address the policy gap. Identify 3–5 articles that focus on the solution.

Evaluate the intervention to ensure that it will address the gap or clinical concern, address any issues of social justice and equity, and provide an ethical solution.

Create a high-level plan for implementing the intervention.

Create a detailed plan for the first two weeks of the intervention strategy.

Advocacy Presentation

Select an element of your plan and present it to a group of your peers. For example, you may want to present during a lunch break or at a team meeting. If you are not currently working, you may present to a small group of friends. Or you may choose to record your presentation using Adobe Connect for use at a later date. The element you choose to present must provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your political activism and your ability to advocate for nursing’s involvement in the intervention strategy.

The deliverable item for this part of the assignment can be submitted in the form of an Executive Summary or via a file created using a presentation tool such as PowerPoint.
