Attend a concert and write a 2 page, double-spaced, 12 point font letter to a friend who has never been to a similar concert. This concert can be any genre of music. Include relevant vocabulary and discuss the music performed, your impressions of the music, the performers and any other aspect of the concert. You can talk about genre, style, instrumentation, form, dynamics, articulation, tempo, etc. Feel free to give your opinion on the music and performance, but criticism and praise must both be justified using critical listening techniques and musical concepts discussed in class. Attach the program and ticket stub/receipt, some form of proof to your paper. Failure to do so will result in a 10 percent reduction.
