Write a Reflective Essay (4-5 pgs) that demonstrates what you have learned about “argument” through discussion of your revisions to your paper. To complete this assignment, be sure to review the following guidelines:

• First: Thoroughly revise your selected essay (A1 or A3) based on the feedback you have received from me and others. (“Revision” means “adding, deleting, or moving around chunks of text.)

• Second: Carefully edit and proofread your work. Seek additional help, if necessary.

• Third: Write a Reflective Essay (4-5 pgs) that demonstrates what you have learned about “argument” through discussion of your revisions to your paper.

o Make specific reference to my comments, as well as the comments of others; discuss how and why the changes you have made have improved your work.

o Make specific reference to your own work. Present and discuss passages that illustrate the improvements that you have made to your skills in the class.

o Make at least three (3) specific references to Heinrichs’s Thank You for Arguing, including discussion of your A4 “wildcard.” (How and why did you use logos, pathos, ethos, or kairos to improve your Proposal Argument? Be specific.)

Make a coherent statement, not just a jumble of points. Your essay should have a specific focus, an engaging thesis, supporting reasons with evidence, strong organization, and an appropriate tone.

Please Note: Your Reflective Essay is a critical part of this assignment and your grade. Don’t complete it at the last minute; take the time to analyze your work and write a strong paper.

• Fourth: In ONE complete packet, staple these items together (one staple only) in the following order:

  1. THIS WORKSHEET.
  2. Your 4-5 page Reflective Essay.
  3. The original, graded copy of your essay with my comments.
  4. Your revised essay.

Again, submit these items in one complete packet. Unless requested, do not submit anything else.
