This is a comparative rhetorical analysis of two advertisements

This is a comparative rhetorical analysis of two advertisements. You may choose any advertisement you would like, but they must be for the same type of product. The goal is to create a paper that explores how successful (or not!) two different ads are at selling similar products. For example, you may want to analyze how two different car companies go about the task of persuading their audiences to buy one of their vehicles. Ideas to consider when brainstorming: • How are they alike and complementary of each other? • How does their difference reflect in one another? • What do they assume about their audiences? • What can we learn about looking at them together? Along with the grading rubric, I will consider the following when assessing your essay: 1. Does the essay focus on two separate ads for similar products? 2. Focus is on a connection of similarity or difference but not both. 3. How clear is your purpose in writing the analysis? 4. How well do you support your analysis through the use of detail and specific examples from the ads? 5. Do you analyze the ads’ text and context? You may not use first person: “I/me.
