1. Distinguish between extrinsic and intrinsic rewards by defining each concept in your own words, and providing examples that go beyond what is provided in the text. Additionally, explain the four building blocks of intrinsic rewards and motivation, relating each building block to an example that relates to your own organizational experiences-be specific.  Lastly, how does your organization motivate and reward their employees?

2. In your own words, define and contrast roles and norms, and provide examples of each.  Specify four norms that you have experienced in your current organization or a previous organization, by providing specific examples.  Then, discuss why you think these particular norms exist, and the purpose that they serve.
