Short Essays:
If the following authors were to apply their theories to explaining the Global Economic Crisis of 2008, what arguments or concepts would each of them emphasize in their explanations? Note that you are NOT being asked to provide a complete explanation for the crisis, nor a full summary of each author’s theory – rather, identify the arguments/concepts that would figure most prominently in their respective explanations. What would each emphasize in their explanations?
1) Richard Wolff (25%)
2) Fred Block (25%)
3) David Harvey (25%)
Each of the above should be addressed separately.

4) Compare and Contrast the approaches of the three authors above – discuss both their commonalities (what their approaches share in common), as well as some of the ways in which they differ in terms of what they emphasize. (Note that you are not being asked to identify points of disagreement [although you should include those as well], but rather differences in what they choose to emphasize in
their respective arguments.)
