Instructions: Find an article that relates to the material covered in ?EACH? of the chapters read this week. ?Go to the Internet? and find an article that discusses the same topic??. ??Then write in an APA Journal Assignment? format a minimum of ?250 ?words? per article?, 1) explaining the article and 2) then give your opinion to the pros or cons of each article.? Do not explaining the chapters in the book. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: ?CHOOSE ALL fOUR (4) OF THE CHAPTERS, THEN GO ON THE INTERNET FIND AN ARTICLE FOR EACH CHAPTERS DISCUSSES THE SAME TOPIC. 250 FOR EACH EACH ARTICLE EXPLANING THE ARTICLE AND THE PROS OR CONS OF THE ARTICLE. Do not explain the chapters, just read them and make your chooses, then go online to find an article for each chapter that discusses the same topic as the chapters. One article for each chapters. My suggested approach to these assignments is as follows. 1. Use a heading for EACH chapter and mention the Chapter, the topic from the chapter and the article you are using for that chapter in the heading. eg.
CHAPTER 1 – THE ISSUE OF SLAVERY – Article: ” The remnants of Slavery in Today’s Society.”
2. Provide an introductory paragraph – Introduce your reader to the fact you will be talking about slavery and relating it to the article. 3. Topic Paragraph – Summarize the topic of slavery as discussed in the text.
3. Topic Paragraph – Summarize the article
4. Topic Paragraph – Tie the topic to the article
5. Topic Paragraph – Provide your opinions as requested by the assignment.
6. Concluding paragraph. – Wrap up your essay. VERY IMPORTANT: THERE SHOULD BE FOUR (4) CHAPTERS AND FOUR (4) ARTICLES AND DO NOT USE ANY ARTICLES THAT ARE OLDER THAN ?2013.? There is much out there about these topics and so I expect recent articles.
Finally, just because you are only using one article to write about, that does not mean you do not need to cite your sources in the body of the essay. Please cite if you quote or paraphrase information. NOTE: DO NOT simply cut-and-paste from a website. Yes, you should be reviewing web sites and other sources to find the information for this project but do not simply cut-and-paste someone else’s words. You will NOT get credit for doing this. Your paper must be your own words, thoughts, and analysis. Again, choose all FOUR chapters, then find an article that discusses the same topic as the article. To receive full credits, the should be FOUR (4) articles talk about FOUR (4) of the chapters. Choose ALL of the chapters and find an article for each one of them, then explaining the articles, and give the pros and cons of the articles. 250 words per article It is very important to meet the requirements or assignment will not be grading.
