Job Description Exploration

Written Assignment #2 – Job Description Exploration
One of the focus areas of Module 2 will be better understanding the process of creating a robust job description; job descriptions serve many purposes for organizations both internally and externally – as we discuss staffing activities (also known as Recruitment or Talent Acquisition), job descriptions and job postings will be a center focus. In this assignment, I’d like for you to explore some job descriptions to start to familiarize yourself with 1) how the information covered in the textbook (specifically in chapter 4) applies in a real, active database and 2) potential job search criteria for your own personal job search purposes and what type of positions might be of interest to you.
Visit the O*Net OnLine website ( onetonline.org (链接到外部网站。) ) and click the “Find Occupations” link near the top of the site. From the drop-down menu under “Job Family,” select a job family of interest to you (for example, “Management” or “Business and Financial Operations”). Using this Job Family filter, browse to find at least three (3) different job titles that you may be interested in upon graduation.

For each of the 3 jobs you explore, answer the following questions:

1. What similarities and differences did you find between the job descriptions, job specifications, and salary information listed on the different websites?
2. How qualified are you for the position? Which aspects of the position would you feel most comfortable/prepared for? Which aspects of the job would be the biggest challenge for you? What additional training and experience do you need for the position?
3. How might you use this information in your future job search or career endeavors?

Here are the expectations for your written assignment
