For this assignment you will write a research-based report answering specific questions about the concepts from the Medhus book “Raising Children Who Think for Themselves,” in detail, while incorporating theory and course concepts from our textbook (Berger) throughout your paper.

Suggestions on How to Best Proceed with Your Research Paper:

Read and Review the Medhus book carefully (read thoroughly) taking pertinent notes paying special attention to details related to elements in assigned questions and the assignment rubric. Then find concepts, ideas and theory in the Berger textbook to help support, disagree with, or further explain ideas presented in the Medhus book. This is critical!
Compose each portion of the paper:

You must answer at least 10 questions out of the 19 and your paper should be in an essay format. It should be very easy for the professor to see that you have answered 10 questions. 14. Discuss techniques that encourage Self-Direction.
15. How does the author recommend helping children handle real-world influence?
16. How does being “hurried” impact the development of reasoning skills? Give examples. How can we, in this day and age provide time for the development of Internal Direction?
17, How can we teach our children to value Inner influences over External Influences? Be specific.
