A. Go towww.pewresearch.org and scroll down to the “interactives” section. Then find the interactive titled “Political Typology Quiz, click on it and take the quiz. After you calculate your results, PRINT OUT the “Your Results” page. You only need to print the ONE results page (otherwise, it will print out a 12-page summary which is not necessary). Turn in the Your Results Page with your project. I WILL NOT accept the project without this page!
B. After you take the typology quiz, you will receive a result. Take a few moments to read the data and facts about your typology to learn more about where you fit on the political spectrum. There are a total of 9 possible results you could receive from “solid liberal” to “bystanders.” You will be taken to a results page with YOUR typology. You will also notice a bar across the top which will have the other categories. Write a ONE PAGE Summary of YOUR typology and give several examples of how you fit into this group.
C. You will then want to spend some time reading through the other typologies (by clicking on the tabs on the results page) to understand what the other groups represent and how their belief system compares to yours. This will be important when you are classifying your politicians and doing your actual research of your chosen politicians.
Choose any 3 of the following people. Classify each into a SEPARATE, SINGLE, typology. Explain, using examples, why you chose the group that you did for each individual. This paper should be a MINIMUM OF 9 PAGES with no maximum (be reasonable ), NOT including your typology paper or works cited. The Total Paper should be MINIMUM 9-10pages!! You need to follow MLA formatting Including “in text” citation with bibliography, etc. The paper WILL NOT be accepted for a passing grade with out BOTH proper MLA formatting and “in-text”(parenthetical citations). Also, please make sure to use at LEAST 9 different scholarly resources. NEVER use Wikipedia or blogs in research.***Classify each person into only 1 PROFILE GROUP.**
