Describe the tragedy of the commons

Describe the tragedy of the commons.

Describe the tragedy of the commons. The Tragedy of the Commons Select a recent case of an environmental quandary that can be described in terms of one of those ethical principles. If you choose to describe a situation in terms of the “Tragedy of the Commons,” there should be two components:1 – All the parties are involved in a similar activity, or the activity is available to all. Participation can be safely done if controlled or limited. There must be a positive effect of the activity for all participants, and it is in the interest of the individual participants to increase the activity.2 – If many or all the participants increase their activity without limit, then all would be harmed. There must be a negative effect if the activity is not limited. To show how your case is an example of this, you should show how both of these components are present. Your paper should have the following sections (with section titles):1)Introduction: Conduct web research on the topic of your choice from the list above and provide an introduction describing it, giving details beyond those in the textbook. The introduction section should briefly state what your case is about, and what you plan to demonstrate or establish in the discussion.2)Case: Identify an environmental or conservation issue (preferably with relevance to your home state, region or country of origin) that you will use to illustrate the topic. Why is this a case of the ethical topic chosen? This section should contain the factual details that your discussion will be based on. All statements of fact should be supported by citations. This is not the place for opinions. They can go in the discussion section (with factual support).3)Discussion: Explain the connection between your topic and the example. Does the ethical principle suggest what the preferred outcome ought to be? Do not introduce significant new facts in this section; just discuss the consequences of the information from the Case section.4)References: Web-site citations must include the name and address of the sponsoring organization. It should be possible for the reader to determine which statements in the text are from references, and which are yours. Your statements should be supported by the references. I.e., what is the basis of your statements? Be careful to make sure that the bulk of the paper is your own contribution. That is, do not use much of the space restating or summarizing the references (other than in the introduction). Copying material from web sites is plagiarism and will result in a zero grade. An exception is if the material is in quotation marks and is properly cited. The paper should be at least 500 words in length (about a full page of text). Evaluation criteria: Grading is based on the following factors with the rubric shown:1.Relevance of the case you chose to the ethical principal you selected (25%)2.Presentation, writing quality organization (4 sections above) (25%)3.Originality and the clear, logical flow of the discussion (50%)
