UH Public Art Assignment: compose 1 ½ to 2 pages descriptions / analyses of some of the artwork on campus.
In your report, you should follow the customary procedures for discussing a visual artwork. What are its materials? How does it employ color, shape, and composition? But also consider the following: how does its size / scale affect its meaning or impact? How does it use space (both positive and negative) to create a relationship with its environment, as well as the viewer? Also, what is the effect of the location in which it was
installed? Why this place, as opposed to some other one? In other words, consider the work as a public artwork.
