Bias in The Workplace
The purpose of this presentation is to inform and educate employees on an important topic related to Biases in the workplace. Think of it as professional development for employees. Perhaps it is to help rethink, revive, and de-stress or to get up-to-date information on a current topic related to the organization/agency.
1. Please select a topic from the list topics/readings in your syllabus to develop a PowerPoint presentation that will be used to disseminate information to your employees.
2. A PowerPoint presentation of 8-10 slides, not counting a title slide and reference slide (cite three sources—these can be from your readings), will be required. You may use video clips, audio clips, photographs, and/or websites, to draw information from various sources in interesting ways. If you are linking out to anything (YouTube videos and other resources) include the actual link visible on the slide to share with your viewers. Find a balance of content and media that reinforces the content. Avoid relying too heavily on one or the other. Have fun with it! You will also include a one-page script of what you would say with each slide if you were presenting this to an actual audience.
3. Upload files to D2L Dropbox which include your PowerPoint presentation and a one-page script.
