Analyze one of the many engineering ethics case studies provided by Civil Engineering Ethics workshop

In paper format, analyze one of the many engineering ethics case studies provided by the Texas A&M University (TAMU) Civil Engineering Ethics workshop, “Teaching Engineering Ethics: A Case Study Approach[1]”.The written description of the case study may include a discussion of the underlying ethical issues and courses of action. You are not simply copying these down as part of your paper, they are only food for thought to the problem. Consider all the information presented in the case study, synthesize it, and answer the fundamental ethical questions provided below. This assignment should not exceed 5 pages at 1.5 spacing and 12 point font. Half of this assignment will be graded on how well you addressed the fundamental ethical questions. The second half will be graded on writing quality.
Fundamental Ethical Questions
(1) Identify the underlying ethical issues of the case. Explicitly state the primary ethical dilemma, and work to identify any secondary ethical dilemmas.

(2) Stakeholders
Identify the various stakeholders. What are their interests? Who/what are negatively and/or positively impacted by the case? Start with those most immediate to the actions then think more broadly.
(3) Ignorance
As an engineer deciding what to do next, are there any relevant facts that are either unclear or unstated? What are they? Why are they relevant? Who needs to know them? Who could discover them and how? What important or relevant facts are known?

(4) Codes and Cannons
As an engineer deciding what to do next in this case, what are the relevant engineering professional codes? What do the engineering codes of conduct suggest should be done next? Are there any important conflicts in what they suggest?

(5) Ethics and Legality
Are there any moral considerations or constraints raised by this case that are not fully addressed by the professional codes and cannons? Are there any remaining legal considerations or constraints?
(6) Possible Actions
Identify at least three alternative actions to your scenario. For each alternative, consider the consequences of each action on the different stakeholders. Evaluate each alternative action by applying the engineering professional codes of ethics and ethical theory.
(7) Evaluating Actions
After carefully evaluating your options, select and action that you believe is the most ethically sound. Take care to thoroughly justify your decision.
