Analyze Long-term Real Exchange Rates
Topic: Long-term Real Exchange Rates. I have calculated two pairs of real exchange rate in excel, AUD/USD, Portugal/AUD, And I have also created two line charts for that(Attached).
First of all ,you should provide a general description of the main trends and patterns in the series for each pair of real exchange rate. (250 words)
After that, – for each exchange rate select a period of time when the real exchange rate changed significantly and discuss the most likely economic causes of the change, (referencing to practical examples or historical events i.e. global financial crisis.)
Note that Portugal start to use euro after 01/01/1999, so it was calculated as EUR/AUD *200
