Complete a product business plan

Complete a product business plan

Chapter 27: Business: Students will complete a product business plan as their final assignment. Follow the five (5) detailed steps for success.

Step 1: Pick an industry from those listed below.

Step 2: Research your chosen industry and create a new and fresh product(s) which fits that industry. Ex: Sporting Goods Industry: New helmet line for the ski & snowboard market. Name your helmet company: Tuffer Incorporated. Product: The Skull Helmet, etc.

Step 3: Find a business plan template which fits your industry, style and product. I will be posting business plan examples for visual learners. The textbook also has a great sample business plan, to help formulate your idea. (Appendix A) One great website which you may use for researching a template: WWW.bizplan.com (Links to an external site.)

Step 4: Use the textbook and other research tools, and fill in the body of your product business plan template. Fine tune your business plan as the last week approaches. Don’t wait until the last week to complete.

Step 5: Post your final product business plan before the assignment deadline. (see Key Day Chart below) This will be the last assignment posting for this course. NOTE: See “CengageBrain” for a business plan template and exercises. Click chapter 1 for those directions. It is called LivePlan, that link is found on the “CengageBrain” page. Plus, you will need your access code to view. If you purchased a used book, and do not have the CengageBrain option, you can complete the book, without those extra learning tools. 200 points total.
